Professor Muhammad Dauda is an esteemed professor of Mechanical Engineering with special interest in renewable energy systems development and sustainable manufacturing.  He has a PhD in Manufacturing from University of Hull and MSc Manufacturing Systems Cranfield University. Also had MSc and B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering from ABU Zaria. At Cranfield he participated in enhancing the manufacture of the Airbus A380 Wings for AIRBUS Industries Broughton UK. He also developed the cost model for High Precision Machining Processes for satellite/aerospace applications. He represented the University of Hull to Japan in the collaboration with the Tokyo Institute of Technology Okayama on Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Japan in 2006. He was the immediate past Vice Chancellor /Provost of Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna.

Dr. Muhammad Usman Kaisan is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Ahmadu Bello University, specializing in renewable energy, alternative fuels, and sustainable manufacturing. He has held key leadership positions, including Deputy Director at National Agency of Science and Engineering Infrastructure and Deputy Director, Equipment Maintenance and Development Center at the University. Kaisan has been a member of the Presidential Committee on Technology Transfer. As the Principal Investigator of a Royal Academy of Engineering, UK-funded research on effluent management in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, his team developed a novel Effluent Management System, securing two national patents and multiple publications.

Dr. Hamisu Adamu Dandajeh is a Senior Lecturer and energy systems expert at Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria, with a Ph.D. in Energy from University College London and MIT Kaufmann Teaching Certification. A 2023 Senior Visiting Researcher at Baze University and former MIT Energy Visiting Scholar, he bridges academia and policy, notably serving as Special Assistant to Kaduna State’s Governor on Energy. His pioneering research spans renewable energy integration, decarbonization, and air quality, including electrifying ABU Dam and biofuel innovations. Published in leading journals (Journal of Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis, King Saud University), his work on soot emissions and sustainable fuels underscores his global impact.

Dr. Salisu Aliyu is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, specializing in AI/ML model optimization and low-resource language LLM fine-tuning. A PhD graduate from ABU, his research bridges deep learning with real-world applications in healthcare, finance, and cybersecurity. He co-developed a Bayesian Network for COVID-19 prognosis (Springer LNCS, 2021) and deep learning models for oil price-exchange rate predictions (IJEEP, 2022). At AfriLab AI Hub, he mentors students and startups, translating AI research into scalable solutions using TensorFlow/PyTorch. A curriculum development expert, he drives AI accessibility in under-resourced contexts while advancing GPU-powered innovations for African linguistic diversity.

Engr. Musa Abubakar is a seasoned Electrical Engineer and Assistant Chief Technical Officer at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, specializing in grid integration, power system protection, and electrical infrastructure development. With an M.Sc. and PGDEE from ABU, he has led critical projects, including the installation of a 7.5mVA transformer in Delta State and electrical frameworks for the Central Bank of Nigeria and Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC). His research focuses on energy efficiency, evidenced by co-authored publications on energy auditing and non-ideal buck-boost converter design. A technical leader since 2017, he combines hands-on expertise in large-scale installations with advancing Nigeria’s resilient power systems.

She has successfully executed major distribution projects, with a strong focus on grid reliability, network standardization, and efficiency. At IBEDC, she served as Head, Network Administration before her appointment as Head, Technical Services where she provides strategic leadership across the company’s technical operations. Beyond her technical contributions, Engr. Sanya is passionate about mentorship and professional development, she served as the pioneering Chairman of NIPE, Ibadan Branch, where she advanced capacity building for young engineers.

In her current role, she continues to drive innovation, reliability, and standardization in IBEDC’s operations, reinforcing the company’s commitment to safe and sustainable power delivery.

Saadu Kamaldeen Abagun is a COREN-registered Electrical Engineer with over 16 years of experience in Nigeria’s power distribution sector, specializing in strategic planning, network optimization, and project management. Holding an MSc in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) and an MBA, he has served in key roles at Eko Electricity Distribution Plc and IBEDC, including Head of Strategy & Special Projects and Head of Network Planning.
